Our Services
Shoeing Services
At IronStride Farriery Solutions, everything we do is driven by one thing: standards first. We don’t rush horses, we don’t cut corners, and we don’t compromise on materials or workmanship just to be “a bit cheaper”. Your horse gets the time, assessment, and attention they deserve — every visit.
Whether you need routine shoeing, performance support, or a remedial plan alongside your vet, you’ll get professional, consistent farriery built around long-term soundness.
Our Shoeing Services
Full Sets
A complete set of shoes with a thorough assessment of hoof balance, limb flight, wear patterns, and overall mechanics. Ideal for horses in regular work, competing, or needing consistent protection and support.
Front Shoes
Front shoeing with the same standards and assessment process as a full set — perfect for horses that require front-end support or wear but don’t need hinds shod.
Trimming
A balanced trim focused on strong hoof mechanics and long-term hoof health. Suitable for barefoot horses, those in light work, or as part of a barefoot transition (where appropriate).
If your horse needs a specific remedial plan, we’ll always talk you through options clearly before any work is carried out.
Remedial & Vet-Referral Work
We regularly collaborate with vets and work on referral cases. This may include horses with lameness issues, rehabilitation plans, conformational challenges, or long-term management needs.
Where appropriate, we can:
-
Work to a vet-led diagnosis and treatment plan
-
Provide ongoing farriery support during rehab
-
Liaise with your vet/physio to keep the plan joined-up
-
Track progress over time and adjust as the horse changes
Remedial work is rarely “one and done” — it’s a structured process. The goal is always comfort, function, and consistent improvement.

Direct Debit Option
To make things easier for clients, we offer a Direct Debit option to spread costs more evenly across the year.
Because Direct Debit reduces admin time and keeps accounts running smoothly, clients paying by Direct Debit may receive a discount. Ask us and we’ll explain the options.
Shoeing Cycle & Scheduling
Most horses thrive on a regular 6–8 week cycle, depending on hoof growth, workload, and any ongoing issues. We’ll recommend the right schedule for your horse and keep things consistent.
Safety & Yard Requirements
To work safely and do our best job, we require:
-
A dry, level, safe area with good footing
-
Your horse caught and ready at the agreed time
-
A competent handler (16+) present throughout
-
Dogs secured and children kept clear of the work area
If conditions are unsafe or the horse becomes unsafe to shoe, we may stop and reschedule. This protects the horse, handler, and farrier.
